With the warmer weather lately, you’re probably feeling the urge I am to get outside and enjoy it. Before you do, check out this week’s version of Market it Write’s Monday Madeleines to start the work week. Be sure to let us know what you think.
Amazing Glass Artist [VIDEO]
Wow, what beautiful music can be made from several glasses filled with varying amounts of water when in the hands of a true artist. Brought to us by @Wakooz_RSS.
If you’re trying to make your way up the ladder in the corporate world or occasionally “schmooze” clients, you need to be careful you don’t end up looking like a lush. Here are some helpful tips from Diane Gottsman, a nationally recognized etiquette expert and the owner of The Protocol School of Texas. (Sounds like a neat school, doesn’t it?) Thanks to @LaurianaZ for calling this to our attention.
Just in case you don’t follow the rules of etiquette from the prior story, here’s an app that will help you undo any serious social media mistakes you may have made after you reached the “three sheets to the wind” stage. Brought to us by frequent contributor Diana Adams at @adamsconsulting, who says sending DMs when you’re a bit tipsy is “the social media equivalent to drunk dancing on top of the table at a bar.”
Video of the Week
Fort Worth Explosions
Brian Luenser was on a balcony on the 34th floor of a building in Fort Worth, TX when he got this unexpected light show. Hoping to get some great still shots of lightning, instead he captured a series of explosions 5 miles away that were a result of multiple downed power transformers during the storm. The video duplicates itself accidentally (which Brian says he is trying to correct), but it is still quite incredible to watch.
